Dr. Ira S. Fisher received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the New York Chiropractic College in 1986. His post doctoral education 1990 includes his certification as a Chiropractic Sports Practitioner; March 2009 he completed the first phase of certification toward his Kinesiotape certification that is incorporated into his treatment protocols. He has completed the Master's Program in Whiplash: The Master's Program from the Spine Research Institute in San Diego.
Prior to founding Westbury Total health Care, one of New York's few and finest multidisciplinary rehabilitation facilities, Dr. Fisher served as an Associate Doctor of Chiropractic at the Garden City Chiropractic Center on Long Island, and was the founder and sole practitioner of Post Chiropractic, P.C. Under his guidance, Westbury Total Health Care has become a practice dedicated to educating patients on various health topics, and to that end, Dr. Fisher has organized several "Health Talks" at the facility which address patient concerns on various wellness topics. Dr. Fisher has a firm commitment to serving in various community activities, including several outreach, Programs, chamber of commerce and professional networking activities. He is also the creator of "Community Patient Appreciation Day", a community event which provides cholesterol and glucose screening as well as chiropractic and podiatry services. This event has received several accolades from community leaders and colleagues and is cosponsored with several other medical professionals and the Smith/Kline/Beechum organization. He is also a participating member of many local civic and professional associations, and has received several awards recognizing his dedication to the field of chiropractic and rehabilitative care, and is currently at work on projects which aim to further educate patients on the benefits of incorporating a complete wellness program into their daily lives.
